If an advertiser does a PPC campaign, will it affect the organic SEO ranking?

Recommended Posts

If you are worried that a competitor doing PPC campaign will help their organic rankings, then the likely answer is NO.

They are essentially two different entities that word independently from each other. It would not exactly be fair is someone works hard at making their site brilliant for users and is outranked because someone splashes some money out?... if that was the case, in essence that means Google organic research would technically be a Paid Ads

I think you are safe!

There will be no effect of PPC on organic SEO, the only thing PPC does is to bring paid content to the top when you search for relevant keywords related to that content.

You can read more about that here

PPC can be of major help to boost your website traffic, but once the payments stop so does the traffic and everything else.

Work on your SEO and you should be fine.

PPC/Google AdWords has nothing to do with Search Engine Optimization. PPC is related is your paid advertising campaigns where as SEO refers to organic results that Google displays below paid ads. SEO results are long term and take time where as PPC/Google AdWords delivers quick results as long as you are putting money to show your ads. You can target keywords as many as you can in PPC campaiign but not in SEO since it works in different way.
