11 Step Guide to Convert New Audiences With Facebook Ads

Recommended Posts

A nice guide to getting better results from your Facebook ad campaigns...

I was so excited when I created my first Facebook Ad campaign.

I can remember thinking that it was the answer to all of my problems.

It was so cheap and there was so much volume.

In fact, there are now over 1.86+ billion monthly active Facebook users, and it takes up 22% of the internet time Americans spend on mobile devices – compared with 11% on Google search and Youtube combined!

In my mind, I had it all figured out…

My ads would go up, hundreds of thousands of people would visit my website and convert into customers.

The reality? The ads went live and no one took any notice.

The few that did click through didn’t stick around for longer than 30 seconds.

Did this experience make me stop using Facebook Ads?

Is anyone getting good sales and conversions using facebook ads? It seems that someone must be as they are selling a lot of them but wondering if it makes sense to do them if it is not something you are focusing on.

Yes there are some people cleaning up with Facebook Ads. I use them for local as Facebook's geo targetting is pretty good and I have pretty good results. I have personally tried them for other niches with mixed results. The key to Facebook (and the other social media sites) is that you move your prospects and leads off of Facebook and into your own funnel and website. Get them on a list that you control rather than Facebook or some other social media company.

There is some good info here. Not sure how I missed this thread earlier but glad that I was scanning some of the older threads. I have done some Facebook ads with limited success and the info here looks like it should help me improve my conversions.

I have been able to get good results with Facebook ads but it does take some work to get your targeting correct. Facebook ads are very similar to adwords or any ppc ads in that if you make sure you are not wasting money advertising to people who are not going to buy you can make them work. Getting your targeting tweaked is the hard part once you have that it is easy to be profitable.

Of course assuming you have a product or service that does not suck.

Thanks I have been thinking about trying out FB ads. I will spend some time thinking about who I am exactly targeting since that seems to be what makes or breaks it.

I recently started doing Facebook ads with ok but not great results. Looking at the article it seems there are some areas that I need to do some tweaking. I will give them a try and see how much it improves my results.

Informative article I have been considering trying Facebook ads but was unsure about the best way to get started. Does anyone use video in their Facebook campaigns? From a lot of what I have read video seems to drive traffic better than text and images.

Facebook ads work just as good as adwords or any other ppc ads and they tend to be cheaper which helps. You do have to make sure you are targeting the correct groups so your money is not wasted and like any traffic paid or otherwise you have to make sure your page converts at a high enough rate.

The other thing you need to do is start out slow. Start your campaigns with a low ad spend and tweak your targeting and landing page first before dumping large amounts of money into it. Only ramp up your ad spend after the conversions are doing well.

      Hey guys,

I thought I'd start by contributing something that has been working really well for me over the past 60 days when it comes to Facebook ads.

Many of you have a product or a service that requires some sort of education (you're a digital marketer, a consultant, a fitness coach, or you sell information, you provide services for clients, etc).

If that's your case, here's some good news...

You can leverage the social power of Facebook to grow your audience FAST (in fact, nothing can beat the speed at which you'll build your audience) and still have a lot of sales and new customers.

      Here's how to do it:

      1. Create an amazing piece of content.

I always suggest that you make a really powerful and helpful video for your audience. Even better if you do it LIVE on Facebook since nowadays, LIVE video gets much more engagement than ANY other piece of content.

This needs to be STRONG and you need to really solve a problem your audience has. Think about this like your "virtual" handshake, where people that don't know you can start trusting you and will want more of your stuff.

      2. Create a Video Views or Engagement campaign for that video you just created.

You can just boost it from your page and pick really targeted/relevant interests for what you have to offer. I'd recommend though that you use the Ads manager for this since you can get really granular.

      3. Create a Custom Audience based on people that watched at least 50% of your video.

If your video is 10 minutes long, for example, people that watched 50% of it will be really really engaged with your content.

The more you promote this specific video to certain audiences, the more views it will get (and you have the chance of it going viral as well).

      4. Serve ads to that Custom Audience with a free report, a free cheat sheet, a PDF, another video tutorial or a plain offer (like a $7 product or something like that).

Not only your list will be much more responsive (since people are first consuming your content BEFORE signing up), but your conversions will be much much higher.

My most responsive audiences (and lower Cost Per Acquisition) for my book, for example, are the ones that have previously engaged with my content.

You can do this for people that have engaged with your Facebook page, your Instagram profile, visited your website, commented on your post and so on.

If you have questions about this strategy, let me know in the comments below

Hello Guys david here .. and let's get into business
I want to share my latest case study which is promoting a Ps4 skin sticker (deadpool)
From aliexpress as an affiliate on facebook ads..

i know that every marketer knows that facbook is the best place to build audiences and generating revenue, but why ?
simply because facebook allows you to be super specific when you're targeting any audience
      lacation , gender , interests , behaviors

and i recently created an ad targeting the ps4 lovers and deadpool lovers to promote my aliexpress product for $8 ___ original price $2.50

      age and gender

      interests
      ps4 and deadpool lovers

      and budget
i think $7 is good for start

and finally the ad style before adding the link or lunching it

after the ad got reviewed by facebook i was able to
lunch it 4 days ago and so far 32 sales and $129 profit
and $47 spend and i had to increase budget in the 2nd day

so now facebook starting to optimise my campaign and getting low Engagement price starting with about 0.22 and now 0.19

now i'll increase buget bit by bit everyday
      really exited to scale up

      i'll be sharing updates here
