What to do next" ? After Publishing Your Content

A Big number of blogger are still facing a problem to bring awareness of their Article,Content to search engines.

After publishing your article don't expect the work done, you still have a long way to go
"How are you going to solve this problem",follow the following steps to bring awareness of your content to search engines
    1
    Ping Your Articles.

Googleping.com, pingoat.net, and pingomatic.co are sites that send your article for indexing. Basically, they send crawlers to your article. Pinging your article on one of these sites is the same as telling a search engine, “Hey, look, I wrote something. Add it to your indexing so people can find it.”If you deliver a constant flow of content on your WordPress blog, in time, the crawlers will know to search for new articles on your site, but, in the beginning, ping each article after you have published it.

    2

    Social Media Bookmarking.

Put your content out there. Let people know on social media what you have done lately and post your news article from your WordPress blog. You’ll need to create account on relevant social media sites and grow your following. The more people you engage with on these sites, the larger the number who will see you posted something when you announce it.

    3

    Feed It to the Audience.

Some people stay connected to your site through feeds because it lets them know each time you post something new. You’ll find your feed at http://www.yourdomein.com/feed recommend you submit it to a few feed collection sites like friendfeed.com or feedburner.com. Also, make sure to have a RSS button on the site for your visitors.

    4
    Comment on Relevant Sites.

To be able to keep your WordPress blog relevant, you should keep up to date with the latest in the field. That’s why I recommend you read as many blogs in your industry. Also, try to comment. Some sites may give you the opportunity to add the link to your site. Don’t enter spammy comments because they will be moderated and, more importantly, no one will visit your site if you don’t seem to have value to offer.

    5
    Start Relevant Discussions.

Besides social media, there are other sites, like Quora.com or Inbound.org, where your WordPress blog might win some traffic. Write answers to questions and recommend other peoples’ materials. You can self-promote but don’t make it all about your site. Try to be helpful and prove you know your field.

    6
    Be Mobile.

Find apps that distribute your content on mobile devices. (android, ios, etc.). Most people get their information while on the go, a reason why making sure you have access to this growing community with your own WordPress blog is very important. Also, make sure that your site has either a responsive design or a mobile interface so that the user can enjoy your site directly from their devices.

    7
    Social Media and Google Ads.

Last, but not least, there is the opportunity of using ads. It’s a great way of getting you started but I don’t recommend it as a long strategy or relying solely on it. For WordPress blog beginners, it gives you the chance for your content to reach the first few people when no one knows about you. Make sure to target the right keywords and demographics.

One important aspect of the whole process is encouraging your readers to become loyal by delivering constant quality posts. This way, the number of people who come back to your WordPress blog will be constantly growing. And Google cares if you have people who come back to your site. Why? Because that means what you write is worth reading if people come to see more. But they have to know about it first.

    Inbound Links

Another type of information you can find out about each of your articles from your WordPress blog are the Inbound links. These show you how many other sites the link to your article appears on. Besides the number of links, the authority of those links are important. Our feature will show you the Authority of the site and you can see if they are important or not. A good score is over 30.

We need to mention that we offer the Inbound Link information through moz.com and the actualization of the information doesn’t happen in real time. The update is done once a week, time in which you can build several links to that article from your WordPress blog.

    Conclusion
    Important Takeaways for Your Blog

After publishing each article, make sure that this gets to the readers. The distribution through social media has proven to be an efficient and cost effective way to promote your articles, even if it will take time to build a solid following. Don’t forget to check your 7 items on the to-do list to make each article count in the bigger strategy.

So do you still believe that if you build it, they will come? Tell us more about how you promote your WordPress blog? The comment section awaits!

Are you still struggling to earn real money online?

Thank you changelife for your great post. I did not realize that so much into promoting your content. I thought that if publish your article the people will come but it's not like that at all. You need to Ping, Bookmark, RSS feed, comment, start discussions, and be social. So many steps I didn't know about but thanks to your article I now know how to get my article out there.

You should spend a lot more time promoting your pages than creating content. I generally go with ~80/20% of promotion over content creation, if hardly anyone is seeing your content then all the effort to create it is completely wasted.

Well, one of my friends maintains his site  and earns a handsome amount through Adsence. He updates his blog daily, post pictures with crispy descriptions, and according to him, he has never done SEO related activities for his site. All he does is that he allows users to create account and post content in various categories, which is moderated by him before publishing it on his site. He draws attention through attractive content, that includes videos, pictures, and images and impresses Google by maintaining quality.

Some of the suggestions like pinging the articles are more for the search bots than getting actual people to your site.

As Richard says you want to spend more time promoting your content than writing it. No sense in writing content if nobody is going to read it. To get people to your site you need to go to where the people are.

Social media is good and posting links to your accounts is a good idea. However they need to be active accounts, if there is nobody paying attention to your social media accounts they are not really going to get you any traffic to your blog or website.

Related forums and blogs are always a good choice. The key is that you actually have to contribute something in order to get people to come to your site. Quality contributions to other sites in the form of comments and helpful posts will do more to get you traffic short of paying for it.

    1. Ask an Influencer for a Killer Quote
    ..................................................
    1. Ask an Influencer for a Killer Quote

Before publishing your new piece of content, reach out to an influencer or influencers in your industry. Tell them the topic of your content and ask if they would be willing to provide a point of view.

You can reach influencers at scale with BuzzStream. Fill in information about a specific niche (keywords), and you’ll get tons of contact information for people in those niches. You’ll be able to contact them via email and social media, which will allow you to ask for quotes about your topics and for other information that we’ll talk about later in this post.

Here is a more detailed description of BuzzStream and how to use the tool.

If your piece of content is a blog post, put the quote in the post and add a link to the influencer’s website and social media accounts, such as Twitter. Once the article is published, email the influencer and tell them the content is published and ask them to share it on social media and possibly include it in their email newsletter.

This accomplishes two things: 1) you gain exposure to a new audience, and 2) your content becomes more reputable because you’re associating yourself with an influencer in your industry.

Reach out to multiple influencers. You probably won’t hear back from all of them, but you should hear back from at least one or two.

Here is a message template you can use:

    2. Create 20+ Snippets for Mega Sharing on Social Media

A piece of content should produce 20+ snippets that you can share on social media. A snippet can be any of the following:

        Variations of the title
        Short statements from the content
        Short quotes from the content
        Statistics from the content
        And much more

Go into your content and pull out at least 20 snippets. Then share the snippets on social media over the next several weeks or even months. If the content does well, continue using the snippets.

Additionally, there are a few WordPress plugins and tools that make it easy to tweet old content:

        Tweet Old Post
        Tweetily
        Evergreen Post Tweeter

Buffer also is a great tool for sharing posts, new and old, on social media. You can queue an unlimited number of posts and set up custom schedules for the times you want to share them.

Well said! It would be certainly a wise step to contact the 'influencers' as they belong to the same industry for which you are going to write a piece of content, so they can help enriching your knowledge about various aspects related to the products or services, and the real experiences. In a way, you can seek help from those having first hand experience,  the thing which can help creating an exceptional copy of content.

    2. Sharing snippets on various social media sites actually helps attracting the attention of readers.

There are many off page activities that help to get backlinks but give top priority to quality back links and for better search result content is king
