  13. Before we get started. Yes I know that Google stopped sharing page rank a long time ago. That however does not mean it went away as a ranking factor it just means that Google stopped sharing. The no-follow issue to me is less of an issue for a couple of reasons however the no-indexing the page is just seriously wrong and I would never guest post on a site that did that.   15. Keep in mind that your meta descriptions are generally not going to have any effect on how well you rank but they can have a huge effect on your click through rate from the search page.   18. I honestly did not realize that the number of new unique searches was so high. Considering how long Google has been around it is actually fairly amazing that there are still that many new search terms being used. Google reaffirms 15% of searches are new, never been searched before
