Seems the "fix" they applied to ALN didn't work .
I've pages of live posts that haven't budged, while posts made 10 or more hours ours ago have sporadic submissions, some with 6 some with 0. I've also 2 scheduled posts from yesterday that are still scheduled.
I cannot believe how quickly ALN has gone to the dogs. I contacted Support yesterday just after ALN went offline, and stayed offline for near an hour. Their response a couple of hours later "It's working here now,  must have been a glitch". Frickin' unbelievable!

noticed that too, i really hope it survives, as you know what people will do if they migrate their blogs elsewhere - delete all the old ALN posts and our links along with them... would be rather terrible for my rankings if that happened.

I had over 500 posts zapped.  I haven't added any articles since Friday of last week and still have 500 posts sat there not going anywhere or doing anything.

The lack of updates is the most annoying thing.  Even if they posted something on the homepage or in the updates when you log in.

Yet my blogs are still getting plenty of posts.

    Very frustrating.

Yes I want ALN to survive too, as we need 2 networks at all times IMO (I'm classing FB as the 2nd network)
For the life of me I can't understand why they're not on top of this. No Support over the w/end, despite all these issues, now with BLF down/gone, virtually no way to update as Maulana doesn't bother with emails, except to try and sell me stuff.

If the network dies we all suffer. We ALL have a lot invested in it. Can you imagine hundreds of high PR, contextual backlinks disappearing? Bye bye SERPS.

    ALN MUST SURVIVE

Sorry for the all caps. Really, you invest time and money and energy into getting backlinks and they disappear? Nu-uh. I don't see why Maulana would let ALN die though, he has a new affiliate program and all.

Ugh. ALN was one of the last tier 1 backlinking strategies I was using that didn't involve sites I owned and controlled. Luckily I use a service - the guy running it is a power-user there and my posts are going up as scheduled, from what I see. He takes care of everything, and I'm happy I invested in his service now.

However - if the network dies we all suffer. We ALL have a lot invested in it. Can you imagine hundreds of high PR, contextual backlinks disappearing? Bye bye SERPS.

    Hi Ash,

you dont have to worry if aln will die because FBlinks exist..

    It's not going to die.

Maulana emailed out an update earlier, anyway.

    Hi,

We've just completed some important updates to ALN network:
    - server slow issue is now fixed
    - the new scheduling based on a specific date feature is now live (beta)
    - automatic profile backlinks to your ALN post feature is now live (only for paid users)

The automatic profile backlinks to your ALN post feature
is actually already live a few weeks ago, this is quite a powerful
feature because now for every single post made by paid users
we will built 0-2 profile backlinks automatically to that blog post.
Making the post got indexed much more faster and making the
ALN blog much more powerful and can retain their PR because
of the continual deep links being made.

Also, because of ALN is growing so fast we've encountered
another issue which is server overload. Right now ALN distribute
around 100k-150k post per day which takes a lot of server resources.
This cause some post did not get distributed properly.

We've just ordered a new powerful server and will be done migrating
it in the next few days (hopefully).
Thanks for being part of ALN network and making it one of the
most powerful SEO network available today ;)

    Talk soon,
    Maulana T

It's not perfect, and his communication leaves a lot to be desired, but it is a great network.

Here's hoping FBlinks grows at a quick rate, too. The more of these networks around the better.

Ah good. Momentary panic has now subsided :)

It's not a matter of replacing ALN either - it's about your site suddenly losing a lot of high quality backlinks. Can you imagine how that would look in the serps?

For the most part, no, unless FB members have added sites from ALN into FB. The idea in the end is to have 2 separate networks that are not duplicates of each other.

I also let Maulana know that the Backlinks Forum is probably not coming back and told him that many ALN users are already over here and that starting his sales thread over here would be a good idea. I think he'll be doing that soon which will be good to get in touch with him and for updates etc.

Issues with ALN are definitely getting frustrating.  Im glad though that theres a new network in town, competition usually does good things!
