<rant> This is exactly why we need a 2nd network. ALN posts on their update page that "Slow server issue has been fixed" Yay!....oh...wait... Support Desk tells me they deleted the "stuck" articles.... well that's one way to fix a "slow" server issue...but to add insult to injury, they didn't take note of articles deleted and no offer to give back the 150 or so submission points that went with those deleted articles. Total stuff up and mismanagement on Maulana T's part... </rant>
*Edit* anyone know who to contact about Backlinksforum's nameserver's servers being screwed up? They've been offline to me for over 2 days now, and all DNS caches are returning 0 for the TLD. Yeah, I know good news for here, but still...
**and another edit** if you've got sites with ALN, also add them to FB now. The quicker FB reaches critical mass of 500-1000 sites, the quicker we'll have a superior network to contend with ALN.
So far 127 sites with 21 PR4 & 3 PR5

what do you mean by deleted stuck articles - you mean they deleted live articles that had been built up in the backlog?

If thirty or forty of us "doubled" up and moved all our sites across to FB, then we'd start a trend I think. I've doubled on ALN/FB for around 15 sites so far and added 10 new PR4's to FB only.
Once FB has traction, delete ALN sites from FB to avoid dupes, and just keep the networks separate, site wise. But in the beginning it's not going to hurt to dupe sites, considering the size of ALN. FB needs a big push right now.

I see, if FB has better customer service then ALN, in my opinion it will really be a winner.

Well so far Greg has bent over backward to answer everyone's queries/suggestions, whether on the Backlinksforum or by PM. Plus even get email updates when changes made to FB.
Let's be frank, this early in the day with FB, it would be foolish for them not to be bending over backwards. But, having said that, they seem just that much more approachable and clued up to what the prospective members really require in a backlinks network. They listen, very unlike Maulana who is really a one man show and treats the network as his own, without any thought to the people who:
a ) helped build it to what it is today
b ) Paying customers. The little matter of deleting live posts to speed up the server proves that point.

Thanks a lot on promoting the network..
I am not familiar with the multiquote. It seems not working on my side...

Thanks for the head up. Would you by any chance know how quickly / or how often ALN sites are cleaned up after a PR update?
It can be done within 24 hrs.
The system automatically check pr from google everyday.
It would be 1click to update all the pr..
---
ALN is very powerful for SERP movement and this new one can be also. A few problems I see with ALN is that is does not provide the URL to the article. This would be of great benefit to the article creator and the site owner. I know if I had that info I would backlink it, giving it more juice for me and for the site owner. I guess the problem with this is the people would take advantage of know the sites and doing evil with the info. The other is to categorize the sites in hope the articles could be placed on a site of like topic. Just my thoughts, I am probably wrong.
Freebloglinks also avoid giving article links to the users to avoid being deindexed.. What if g.o.o.g.l.e employee join the network and he gets all the article links? It would be easier for them to deindexed all the websites on the network.
About categorizing, we will ask the members if they like it.
---
Also we will be updating the new theme today. If your excited to see what it looks like, you can check it here
http://freebloglinks.net/v2
We also have added one feature. Ability to save keywords and urls so that you would not have to copy and paste it everytime.
If you encounter a problem, you can pm me, you can send a report problem(we usually reply on email you used for signing up).
Best Regards

I have dealth with Greg too as he has asked me for some help just testing out the site and for any input that I may have. I feel that FB could be an amazing product, as the system thats already inplace is super easy to use and responsive.
Im not ruling out ALN yet, but lets just say that if Greg keeps up what hes doing with FB, ALN is going to get overtaken. Yes its a long way away, but the more people who find out about FB, the larger their network will grow.
I will also say that I had about 10 posts deleted from ALN as well after contacting their helpdesk support. Bloody idiots deleted them and didnt tell me which ones they were, so I had to figure it out and re do them all. Im just glad it didnt happen to all of them. I have so many queued up at the moment it would be such a PITA.
Keep up the good work greg and feel free to contact me on this forum since BLF is down for the count.
As for everyone else reading, seriously, add a site to the network. It costs like $30 for a PR2 and $55 for a PR4. Stop being tight and contribute to a service that could really help your sites out

At what point (how many blogs in the system) before the submissions return to 15?
ALN allow unique identifiers, do you?
Thanks

Annoyed that they deleted articles, about 50 submissions disappeared within a few minutes for me too so guessing they were deleted, have also paid someone for his submissions recently and guessing they were affected too, so money down the drain there. Not happy.
Will add my next batch of domains to this network, no point doubling up as higher posting rates on the blogs will just reduce the indexing rate further (its already low at 40%!)

You mean the post you have when you don't have post i.e. hit delete. Lost over 100 posts, and still painfully slow getting through the rest..... I'm still gobsmacked that that was their answer to slow server issues. And not even a" sorry", just "tough titties"

Thanks a lot on the comment..
hi Jammy,
At what point (how many blogs in the system) before the submissions return to 15?
ALN allow unique identifiers, do you?
We will return it after the blogs reach 600+. Why?
Let say a user add a pr5 blog and got 40points per week.
If the user have 1 url and wish to use all his 40 points, that would be a total of 40x15 = 600 post.
So for 40 points, he will get a total of 600 backlinks.
For unique identifiers? Could you tell me more how it works? Is it a kind of footprint?
If all users would be happy to have identifiers, then we could implement those on future update.
hi Dan,
thanks a lot on planning to add blogs on our network
