Traffic Planet Forum Rules

Here are our forum rules:
(1) We are all here to help advance our tactical knowledge about SEO and Conversions/Monetization.
As such, let's stick to the issues surrounding SEO and Conversions/Monetization and, metaphorically, play the 'ball' and not the 'woman' or 'man'. We all had to start from a zero knowledge base so, for example, the dismissal of 'dumb questions' by newbies lacks perspective.
Let's keep it reasonably civilized and contribute to the community, not our own egos.
From BacklinksForum, I know that most members will do that anyway but it is worth having it explicitly spelt out for a few troublemakers.
(2) Signature links ARE all dofollow (though we don't have any PR - yet! It's coming).
Affiliate Links in members' signatures ARE acceptable IF they are identified as such after the link e.g. (aff link).
Affiliate Links WITHIN posts are NOT acceptable and those posts will be removed when identified by Moderators.
(3) As was the case on BacklinksForum, Anna - anna(at)terrykyle.net - is the Advertising Manager here for Banner Ads and Classifieds.
Make sure that you read the Classified Ad rules here or Banner Ad info here before approaching her.
(4) TrafficPlanet is completely OPPOSED to the illegal sharing of creator's original digital work and/or software.
This site does NOT condone, encourage or support illegal file sharing. Members found to be involved in such activity will be immediately and permanently expelled from this forum.
(5) Classified advertisers (and buyers) are expected to conduct themselves in a professional, responsive and helpful manner.
All Classifieds MUST have a clear Refund Policy at the bottom of their Sales Letter before they will be allowed to go live.
Any Classifieds featuring a kind of 'Make Money Online' product or program MUST provide video proof of earnings from use of the product or program - not from sales of the product or program itself. Contact Anna if that is unclear.
(6) All members can help keep this community in great shape.
If you see a spam post or suspicious activity, report it immediately and the Moderators will act. Thanks for your help on this.
Further rules suggestions are welcome below...

OK Vlad is going to update the url message. As long as you stick to the three lines and label any affiliate links you will be good to go with multiple links.(The new limit is now 4 links)

I wasn't trying to make a big deal about it, but just though either there are restrictions for new members, or if the script may have been wrong. I am just surprised that no one else has brought this to your attention. Again, thanks.

No problem, the sig rules were just changed recently. There was really not any limit and we were allowing images but they were getting out of control .

At what point did the process fail? I am pretty sure that we do not require a facebook account. I went to the join page in a different browser and it gave me the register page without any issues.

While I can appreciate wanting some transparency I would not join a forum that required me to join a third party site with possibly one of the worst records of any company in how they treat their members information. Facebook has a horrible record of both disregarding everyone's privacy and having security holes large enough to drive a semi through when dealing with their third party developers.

Could be a issue with the user and not your site.

I agree that having privacy is important, but the fact of the matter anything you place on the internet is not private. There are programs that are available to determine anything and everything about your life. Not gonna mention who has them, but I am sure you know, however, the main point is if you do not have anything to hide then you do not have anything to worrry about. And I am not talking about your basic premise to privacy within the realm of the Govt. Everyone with common sense should know by now if you do not want anyone to read your information, do not put it on the internet.

Glad to see you here, this appears to b one of the better managed and user friendly forums around. Not your typical Vbulletin forum, which makes this one extremely unique by nature and attractive to the visitors.
