What do you think about get a list of links pointing to your website (using WMT or any backlink analysis service), and start to create links to them, even if you don't have control over those links, or if they don't have high quality? Will it work anyway?

Yes you could do this for an existing link base. However you should not build tiers to every single on of your links as that in itself will look unnatural.

What you should do is-

1) get a list of your current links
2) get as much data about them as possible (anchor text, current page rank, whether its indexed or not etc)
3) go through the list and pick out the best ones that you think-
a) provide the most value
are unlikely to be deleted
c) are surrounded by high quality relevant content

Then begin to build out a second and third tier to those. In the mean time you should be building a new 1st tier so after completing the 3rd tier on your existing link set, you have a new link set to go after.

When I release the video for tiers 2 and 3 I will show you how to set things up so your tier 2 and tier 3 are continually growing forever on auto pilot. All you have to do is keep a fresh cycle of tier 1 links to feed into the system.

Thank you kindly The first video was just to bring people up to speed so to speak as there seems to be a lot of confusion over the subject. The real meat of my advice will come in the follow up videos and I do things in a very very different way to anyone else so stay tuned

Still looking for additional feedback to improve things before I start work on the second video in the series.

Also if there are any specific tutorials you would like to see, tell me and I will make them. Got a lot I want to cover but want to get this tiered link building series finished first

Yes the site is very much a work in progress, I wanted to get the basics in place as quickly as possible and get videos out asap, there is still huge room for improvement on the site (and then some).

One of the biggest challenges in the first video was communicating things in a way that makes sense to anyone so I'm glad its clear and easy to understand.

I'm just mapping out the next video and how to explain things/break it down, hopefully start recording it in the next hour

Thanks for all the great feedback guys, I've been working on the second video today and plan to finish it off tomorrow although the second one is more complicated than I thought it would be.

I think the entire series will end up at around 5 videos or so.

It would be super awesome if you could share the video with others

P.s. after the next video im going to show you how to properly analyse penalty's as a lot of people seem to have trouble with diagnosing rank drops/penalty's to understand what they need to do to move forward/recover.

Also I'm keen to know, what videos/tutorials do you want to see?

It's already been answered but for future reference you can find this out from any wordpress site by viewing the source and finding the main .css style sheet (usually style.css or stylesheet.css) and clicking on it. At the top of the sheet you can see everything about the theme. Some people rename the theme folder to hide it a little bit better though

Update on the 2nd video, I'm still having major issues rendering it. It either fails to render because of problems with a clip (although it has a problem with a different clip everytime) or hard crashes with the send error report prompt. Tried a few things to resolve so far but its not having any of it and it takes 45 minutes for each attempt, shouting at the screen and shaking it around doesn't seem to make it work either. Going to try and render it on a different box and see what happens.

Strangely if I try to render the first video again it works fine, and I have finished the first half on another video to help you diagnose link penaltys easily which renders fine as well.

This should wet your appetite though
