Press release order placed May 1 - 2 weeks ago. Requested status 4 days ago, got an email back promising an answer within 24 hours. Requested status again yesterday, still nothing. This looks like a good service, and I've been happy with the results of your edu/gov links package (ordered at the same time), but if I can't get the product, or even a response, it makes it difficult for me to recommend it to others, or purchase more for myself. I really do have another order prepared, just waiting to pull the trigger, but I just can't do that until I see some results, and maybe some timely communication.
Is the holdup the writing of the press release, or the submission? I almost had it written somewhere else, but decided against it. Let me know if that's the issue, and I'll get the writing done elsewhere.

To clarify on the success of the edu/gov links: they brought a brand new site of mine from nowhere to the front page. It has great on-site SEO, pretty much no other backlinks, and of the 40 keywords I'm tracking, 27 are now on the first 3 pages:
5 on page 1
15 on page 2
7 on page 3
Etc. All but 1 of my 40 keywords is now in the top 100. This is in a medium competition local niche. Like I said, a quality service, just frustrating at times.
The other site I used them on didn't have quite as good a result, but it has a much more complex backlinks footprint - it's going to take a little more to get it going.

It happened to me too. I placed an order of edu/gov pacakge (service 1). Since the Penquin update, I am not sure what is working currently. I was just hoping that edu/gov links would still do the trick. To my surprise, after 1 week or so, my site is regaining its ranking. Out of 26 keywords i am tracking, 18 of them are bouncing back (only 4 of them are targeted ones, the rest are not targeted but related keywords). They are climbing back from somewhere from page 12 - page 21 now to page 4 - 5. This is encouraging!!
I ordered four more for my other site. But lost communication in the last few days. Richard used to be quite responsive and do not know why he lacks communication this time. So good service but if the communication can pick up, I would recommend service to others.

As far as actual review of the press release goes: it was published on 39 sites, including everything from cio.com to minyanville.com to denverpost.com, and everything in between. Pretty impressive. The release itself was fairly well written, and contained the proper number of links with anchor text. One thing I did notice, though - it wasn't really much of a press release. It seemed more like a PLR article about my niche that had been (manually) rewritten. It passed copyscape, and I didn't find any matching content elsewhere, so you're not going to hit any duplicate content issues. I guess most customers who use this service aren't advertising actual companies, so they have to get creative about where they get their press release material from.
So, very impressive distribution, pretty decent press release - all in all, a good value. If you're working with a real customer/company, you may want to provide your own press release. If you're just promoting a random website, by all means, there's nothing wrong with his.
