Just been reading a thread at WF about all BMR websites being de-indexed. Checked out a whole bunch of mine going back months and its true, the whole lot are gone.

Time for a serious re- think as many people are going to be affected by this!

Where do we go from here?

My Rankings are fine right now but I suspect by tomorrow many of them will tank......

Sadly, it seems they are gone. I've been using BMR for 2 websites, one of them being authority in very competitive niche (dropped in serps big time 2 days ago), while other is a small affiliate website in competitive niche (no ranking changes). For both sites I added around 150 posts each in last 2 months, since I started using BMR.

I checked the last couple pages of BMR posts here on my end. All of the blogs are not gone, but I would say close to seventy percent are. My own sites have lost some ground, starting last week-end actually. It does not look like a penalty, but just the algo for rapid link loss. I am starting to combat with some better quality links and updates to contain the damage.

It was good while it lasted.

Damn, wish I found out about BMR before a few months ago because it was very effective. Kinda sucks they're shutting down because they were the "highest quality" blog network, but obviously Google is out to shut down any service that is obviously used for manipulating their rankings. Not surprised and I expect most other blog networks to follow suit and shut down.

Never used them much myself. Just wonder how many domains were taken out and what their value must have been...

Hard to believe they were taken out overnight though...

They have the option to remove all posts for each domain. Guys seem to be talking about it on WF.

Can anyone think of any important reasons why I should maybe go and do this?

Right now we're going to close up, and figure out our next steps, and let clearer heads prevail. Still think there's an opportunity to pivot, and turn BMR into a higher quality, more focused offering. But this cannot be done overnight for sure, and will take some time.

You shouldn't wait any longer - just relaunch it, but this time allow members to submit blogs! Your large user base will rebuild the network quickly. Use the remained indexed sites as a starting point. Simple!

But if you wait then your user base will erode.

Yes, there's certainly an opportunity to pivot, and come back even stronger. The fact is we had already started to pivot, just couldn't do so fast enough. If anything Google tipping their hand now, could be a blessing long-term.

He always is predicting this stuff about 6 weeks in advance

Last month he told me Google staff were going to join blog networks like bmr to find the sites and then deindex e,very domain

Looks like they are superior serious and seo is going to become a really high cost venture to rank sites

I am sure they just didn't start these campaigns a month ago. Maybe that is when they started parsing their data for deindexing and sending their love letters out, but they had to have their puppets on this spy job for a few months at least.
