Guys, I have a client that wants to sign up for my seo services, but it appears his site has already been penalized or de-indexed all together. Does anyone have any good tools or ways of seeing if the site has been banned or de-indexed. I would prefer not to post the domain on here, but if you PM me I will send the domain for you to view. Thanks

If domain has www. then use it if it doesn't contain www. then don't. Insert like site:http://www.mysite.com or site:http://mysite.com
Easy way(chrome), just copy the URL from address bar and paste it.

It can happen--I haven't seen it with our services, nor have I seen it for a while, but I know of others that it has happened to.

Seriously dude WTF???? How in the hell can you be offering SEO services and you have no idea of how to tell if a site is deindexed or not.

Before you start screwing around with client sites you need to spend some time learning the business. Not only are you ripping off your client but you could seriously damage them by not knowing what the hell you are doing. This kind of behavior just pisses me off to no end. F'ing people like you that give real SEO guys a bad name......... Until you KNOW seo you have no business taking on clients.

I just want to add, that a site might be fully indexed but still heavily (and permanently) penalized. FWIW.
