I was wondering what the pro's and con's would be regarding setting up a private network with a group of people. For example, what if 20 people got together and contributed 5 blog sites each into the network, consisting of PR3-6 sites. This would make it a rather inexpensive investment to get started, and it would open up links on 100 high PR blogs. Sort of like a private ALN network, yet of higher quality. These sites would all have to be required to be set up on separate class C IP's with individual name servers and privacy. Each article posted could be spun, just as long as it comes from a high quality spin and makes sense so in case it is manually reviewed by "GOD", it will pass muster. Is it possible for something like this to work? I'd be interested in hearing some opinions about this. I have been thinking about this for a while, not knowing how this would work out in the real world.

No reason it shouldn't work - as long as all the sites don't have the exact same links on them - it should last awhile. My private networks aren't spun articles, so I can't comment on that. Might be one of the ways Google finds a footprint. Good luck.

It works and is just another way to leverage your sites.

Thanks guys for the input. Maybe it's best to require unique content, as opposed to the high spun stuff.

It should work as long as the network doesn't get leaked with someone selling SEO services using the current setup. With that said the network will deliver great results.

I started exactly the same thing last year on linkjuicenetwork.com and it works really well. We had 25 members all contributing 2 pr3's intiially, and then the same 25 members contributed 25 pr4's becasue it was so successful. Then it became a pain in the backside to manage. I was responsible for paying the seo hosting fees, and set up paypal subscriptions so all the members could pay me.

Relying on everyone to pay on time was one thing, and then there was the issue of pr fluctuating on each update. The deal was if your pr dropped you had x amount of time to replace it and people never did which made it unfair on everyone else that was maintaining their pr.

Bottom line, it works, but the more members you have the more of a pain in the arse it becomes to manage...

Yeah it sounds like it would be good if everyone kept up their end.

A bit too messy for me, and I have trust issues :). It may be better to just run your own and trade with other network owners.
