We spin the article when we submit to the blog networks. However we do not spin when we submit to the article directories. We only submit to the best article directories and they require high quality content. Submitting spun content would result in article rejection. (unless a very high quality spin is done which is very time consuming)

I received a "welcome email" a few hours after submitting my order details and after receiving the initial immediate order confirmation email. This welcome email outlined thorough and easy instructions on how to login to My Account on their website and view/track my order(s). This is nice from a customer standpoint as although we all try our best to be patient and let the project unfold at it's own natural pace, most of us are usually itching to know what's going on at all times... probably because many of us are control freak type A personalities (you know who you are out there), myself included

When you've been on enough of these forums, you'll eventually see a pattern of threads getting gummed up by people wanting to know the status of their order, and you have to sift through a lot more posts to get to what we all really want to know... how is it working for everyone else and what are the results of others? I can only imagine how many post replies, PMs, and emails some of these guys have to deal with if their service becomes popular and picks up steam. If you have the resources to implement it, I think having a tracking platform is great for the buyers, and I'm sure significantly cuts down on the work load for the sellers.
