    Hello all,

recently my blog was working perfectly....until i made a 301 redirect using follow code in .htaccess file

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.mysite.com [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://mysite.com/$1 [L,R=301]

as i want to remove the canonical error which i was getting @ wordtracker. But within 1 day site is almost 80% down by traffic so i removed the 301s

now m worried when my site will be normal again ? i have already applied for reconsideration and already described that it was by mistake.

in google webmaster tools it shows 263 pages cached as before but in index it shows "Pending"

so again my blog will be normal ? how much weeks ? or its permanent dead ?

    please help... me :(

It's fine man don't worry about it.

Is your blog wordpress? Be careful tinkering with the wordpress .htaccess file, it's not friendly and that redirect that you just explained does not work with wordpress. If you had a static site that you coded with basic html then, yes, that redirect would work. For wordpress, that does not work, at least not in my case and, from the sound of things, not in yours either.

Make sure you undo anything you did to the .htaccess file, and only modify it if you know what you're doing.

Lol I don't think you can cancel a reconsideration request. Just forget about the request you already made, and move forward with your site. Everything will be fine.

What was the reason for redirection using htaccess because when you install wordpress you have the option of installing on www or non-www. And once you install using www then wordpress would redirect all non-www requests to www.
