I think most experts are using the Thesis Theme because its so flexible and easy to use. I has a lot of great functions.

I have never used it as I do not use adsense, but I have heard of many people who use CTR theme. I'm pretty sure it is designed specifically for high adsense conversions.

IMHO, worrying about which theme to use for the best conversions is similar to worrying about which carpet to use in your convenience store.

Does the flooring of your convenience store matter? Sure it does! Is it a BIG part of the scheme of things in your business? Absolutely not!

So, worry about traffic, matching the message of your page to the traffic you are getting. Those are the BIG parts of your business. And choose a theme or a linoleum pattern that looks functional, and will work well for your design!

I just can't agree with you on that one.

A more accurate metaphor would be to say what background color of Wordpress is like the color of the carpet in your store. Sure, there are more important things.

But the theme? That's like saying there are more important things than the building your carpet store is in. Come on now. It's critical. You don't want a carpet store built in a run down warehouse about to be demolished, do you?

So why would you want a bad Wordpress theme?

Try the free version of Heatmap Theme (you can get it at wordpress). The theme has all the ad placements widgetized and has a lot of build in seo features. Thesis is a pain in the ass if you do not take the time to learn it and visit their forums to figure out code etc. It is a great theme but is not needed for a mfa site

well, for me, the most important thing (now) for adsense theme is the simplicity. The more simple the better. About all those CTR and related to SEO can be managed later. just dont have much time to build a complex-slider featured hi-def images right now since i have a large amount of blogs to build. LOL

i'm using "Pilkster"

i'm sure you're good at blending your ads with your content. if your into adsense, just edit the css file so that the font color would compliment your ads (adsense). don't forget to add "quick adsense" plugin to boost ad placements aside from those given already by the theme.
