Also I never see anyone comment here on Raven Tools. I tried it out recently but didnt give it a proper test because of other priorities at the time.

Raven tools is good but not for rank tracking as they only check once a week.

Sescout has everything but they are annoying with regular suspensions etc. I think they perhaps do too much (theyu go 500 deep rather than 100 with micro) and it puts a strain on their hardware.

Rankerizer. It's free, simple and user friendly, runs automatically daily, and graphs all the rankings. Not 100% accurate but close enough for me.

Forgot about Rankerizer. Pretty good free solution if you're looking for one.

Advanced Web Ranking all the way. I used SEScout for a while but it is positively useless - the results and the customer service.

Is the private proxies feature in CuteRank working for you? I have just added my proxies into the software, and it cannot handle them. These proxies work fine in other softwares.

CuteRank doesn't work with SquidProxies! They couldn't tell me why. But they offered a refund.

Is your copy of Cuterank working with SquidProxies?

They said that "proxy support in CuteRank is not that great, and they don't have a plan to improve it".

I am really upset. A software developer company who doesn't know the cause of the problem and doesn't even want to fix it. Here is their final response:

    Quote

The proxy feature is not great because the proxy feature doesn't work for all the proxies.
Because we can't find a solution and don't have plans to change the proxy feature,
so we are sorry for the situation, that's why we push the refund.

Looks great, but can it open multiple projects? If you have a lot of domains, then you cannot see all the rankings of all your domains on a single screen.

Nope you can't see all your domains on the same screen, need to load them up individually.

Another vote for Advanced Web Ranking. I run the Enterprise version and provided you have decent quality proxies, it works really.
I realize it is not free and some may regard it as being expensive. I have definitely found it to be well worth the money.

Which is better, Link Assistant's Rank Tracker, or Rankenizer?

I am really upset with CuteRank. I do not recommend CuteRank to anyone! I found a bug in the software (it doesn't work with SquidProxies - it is not SquidProxies' fault!), and they said that "yeah, it is a bug in CuteRank, but we won't fix it, do you want a refund?". How can a software developer have such an approach?

There are other software projects where I reported a bug, and they fixed it on the same day, and released the new version! CuteRank is not one of those...

Sorry I've never used Link Assistant's Rank Tracker..
Has anyone else used both Rank Tracker and Rankerizer and can comment?

    Hi,

Can you detail what the problem is with that? Interestingly I have a hard time getting Rank Tracker to work with squidproxies.

I'm currently running Rank Tracker, Market Samurai and SEScout side by side and each have there issues.

I use Squidproxies in other sotwares, their proxies work. I load them into CuteRank, and then CuteRank cannot use them. Response from the developer:

They refused to at least take a look at this bug and try to fix it.

Yes I have the exact same experience, works fine in every other piece of software except RankTracker. Perhaps the issue does lie with the Squid guys, I have never brought it up with them or the ranktracker support team.

So what's the solution? Should I get another proxy provider? Anyone else have problems with SquidProxies?

Not just a Rank Tracker issue. I have had the same experience with Advanced Web Ranking (AWR).
Tried Squid proxies and got terrible results even though they worked fine with other software (Scrapebox, SEO Spyglass, etc.)

I switched to Trusted Proxies, more expensive for less proxies, but they work like a charm.

I would seem for some reason that Squid Proxies have a problem with ranking checking software.

Actually that is not what that quote says. They said they can not find it which does infer that they looked but could not figure out the problem or maybe they did find it and it was more trouble than it was worth to fix it.

If they get very few or maybe just your complaint then unless it is a quick fix it might not be worth spending a huge amount of time and money find a fix. There is a cost to finding problems and recoding software and if a problem affects only a small number of your customers then from an ROI standpoint it may make more sense to refund that small number of customers and move on.
