    @ARVolund

    I was doing something similar for a long time, with quite junky forum profile backlinks. But what was happening, my rankings will rise, even to the top half of the 1st page. It would all be nice whole month like that, but than durnig the first few days of the next month my site would just drop into oblivion. I would go to G's Webmaster Tools and see that, where I had 400 backlinks during a month, suddenly my link count would drop to 30-50 links.

    What I am trying to say is, it seems that G. is running a special 'clean-up' alghoritham once a month. Sites resting on different IP addresses would be affected at different parts of month. My site gets affected around the begining of the month. This happened to me 3 times in a row, until I switched to Hi-PR HPBLs and more contextual links.

    Because of possible high value of your experiment, I would beseach you, that you should keep blasting low quality links continually for about month and half. That way you'll be sure that you passed G's monthly 'clean-up'.

    tested this a couple of times before, got to top 10 for several tough financial keywords in the UK lol based on about 1 million scrapebox links...
    it only lasted about 1 month then it dropped into oblivion

    This is exactly what I experienced as well! Question is, can one stay longer than a month, pass the G's monthly 'clean-up'.

    Another thing is, even if you get posted deep southwards, how quickly would one recover. Because if one would to loose only a weak of each month, that wouldn't be bad at all.

    In the next test  I will be doing a continuous daily backlinking until the site dies or probably 60 days which ever comes first. It will also be for actual money making keywords.

    Not necessarily a bad thing if you've got multiple projects going on at once.

    It depends on the competition. If it was a worthy keyword with SEOs working on it, I don't think you'd hvae got the same results.

    Need to be tested of course, but it is extremely difficult to test.

    Not a big drop.  Interested to see where it is in a month or two though.

    Well it stayed at #8 for two days and then dropped to #9 for the last couple so it does seem to be sliding slowly down.
