I'll sum up the video without even watching it.

"Google works like this. If you're not a big corporation / brand then we're going to try and make it as difficult as possible to compete unless you're willing to give us money via PPC. But good luck! You don't have near the budget! Suckers!"

Funny how he suddenly wants "more openness" now that they're losing market share to Facebook and Apple. As well as Bing improving rapidly. Coincidence?

If it turns into a whinefest yes I will.

I posted awhile back that we had more than enough of the "woe is me, being picked on by those big bad evil people" threads and I was going to start shutting them down.

A couple of the earlier ones were left open, if anyone needs to do some nonconstructive whining they can use those threads. There is no need for the forum to be overrun with them.

Sometimes I have a link in my signature to a product. If I do assume it is an affiliate link and I might make a couple of bucks off it...................................

He means the ability to link directly to a certain time on a youtube video is broken, not backlinking being broken on whole ;)

^ He promised to be transpared as to how search engines work. It's time he explains why you can harm competition with blog networks.

*Puts hand up* - Am I ok with nonconstructive sarcastic *****-taking of Google and Matt Cutts?

Just trying to lighten the mood a little
